Attention to the new news: Four bloggers arrested in Tehran, Ahvaz
Rahim Yazdi and
Vahid Abol-Ghasemi, two bloggers living in Tehran, and Shahab Mousavi and Majid
Ka’bi have been recently detained by security forces.
Yazdi was
arrested on Thursday, March 5, when security agents raided and searched his
home, confiscating some of his personal items including his computer and family
album, the Committee of Human Rights Reporters said. This report added he was
transferred to an unknown location.
Vahid
Abol-Ghasemi, another critic blogger, was arrested in the early morning hours
of Saturday, March 7, by a number of plainclothes agents around Tehran’s
Ferdowsi metro station. They stopped and forced him into a car. Abol-Ghasemi’s
home has been searched and some items confiscated.
There is no
report showing why these two bloggers have been arrested. However, their
families have gone to security and judicial authorities many times, being told
their loved ones were arrested by the Revolutionary Guards.
Shahab Mousavi and
Majid Ka’bi were arrested on the evening of Tuesday, March 17 after clashes
erupted following a football match between two Iranian and Saudi clubs. There
are no reports about their conditions or whereabouts. These two Arab bloggers
were summoned and threatened by security forces a few months ago.
