Political prisoner launches
another hunger strike in Evin Prison
Political prisoner Majid Moghadam, detained in
ward of Evin Prison, is launching a dry hunger strike on Saturday, April 25.
This political prisoner delivered his letter on Friday, April 24 to the
prison’s officer guard announcing his intention to go on a dry hunger strike on
Saturday.
Prior to this Moghadam had gone on hunger strike on
Monday, April 6 “protesting his transfer to ward 8 of Evin Prison”, “prison
officials’ insulting conduct”, “being detained amongst hoodlums”, “poor hygiene
conditions” and “being beaten” in this ward, along with “protesting his 6 year
