Relieve
from jail rejected for three Kurdish political prisoners
The judiciary apparatus and security institutions
turned down relieve from jail for three Kurdish political prisoners despite
their poor health conditions.
Afshin
Sohrabzadeh, 23, has cancer and needs medical treatment outside of the prison.
This prisoner is suffering from intestinal cancer and internal bleeding. He is
in very poor conditions and it has been over a year that his request for relieve
has been turned down.
Mohammad
Hossein Rezaie in Minap Prison was transferred to a hospital to undergo
surgery. On Saturday, April 4 he was returned to prison immediately after
undergoing surgery. The transfer of this Kurdish political prisoner took place
while the physician had said he needs a 3-month rest period outside of prison.
Karim
Mousazadeh has been on hunger strike for 16 days, protesting the fact that he
was not released despite his prison term coming to an end. The physical
conditions of this Kurdish political activist is deteriorating every day and so
far judiciary and Minab Prison officials have not replied to his requests.
