Iraqi prisoner sees conditions deteriorate on 13th day of hunger strike

On April 18th the physical conditions of an Iraqi prisoner by the name of Ms. Bisma Jabouri, detained in Gharchak Varamin Prison, has severely deteriorated after 13 days on hunger strike. She spent 5 days of her hunger strike in solitary confinement lacking any lighting, blanket or basic necessities. Due to her dire conditions she has been returned to the general ward.
Ms. Jabouri was not able to sleep at nights due to the severe cold in solitary confinement, which added to her kidney illness.
This prison is also suffering from severe heart illness and her leg is broken after falling to the ground. Despite all this she remains without any medical care and on hunger strike. (Human Rights & Democracy Activists in Iran – Apr 20, 2015)
