Group of political prisoners to launch hunger strike
Seven political prisoners in Iran will be launching
a hunger strike in support of Rasoul Badaghi, a jailed teacher currently under
pressure in solitary confinement, and protesting the detention of Ibrahim
Maddadi and Davoud Razavi, two senior members of the Tehran bus drivers’ guild,
along with other workers and teachers. This hunger strike will begin Wednesday
and Thursday, May 6 and 7 and it will be widespread act by political prisoners.
The names of these political prisoners are:
Mohammad Jarahi, Khaled Heradani, Shahrokh Zamani, Heshmatollah Tabarzadi,
Saeed Masouri, Pirouz Mansouri and Mithagh Yazdan-nezhad. (Human Rights &
