Political prisoner wounded due to severe beating

Political
prisoner Ali Moezi was summoned to court on Monday, May 4 at around 7 am.
However, he refused to appear in court protesting its legitimacy.
After some time a major of the Revolutionary Guards, along with around
5 others, attacked this old political prisoner and literally banged his head to
the metal bars of his cell. His forehead was severely wounded as a result and
led to severe bleeding. They viciously cuffed his hands and feet, dragged him
on the ground and threw him into a vehicle with which they took him to branch 1
of the Karaj court (west of Tehran) chaired by Asef Hosseini.
The branch court judge began threatening, insulting and harassing the
political prisoner despite his severe bleeding from the forehead.
Finally, they returned him to Karaj Central Prison and showed him the
illegal new sentencing of another year in prison.
Mr. Moezi refused to sign and told them to give a copy of the
sentencing to his lawyer and family, and get a signature from them.
Political prisoner Ali Moezi is suffering from prostate cancer, kidney
problems and other illnesses. He was arrested while receiving treatment for
cancer and from then on he has been deprived of any serious medical care.
